If you’ve recently purchased a brand new flat screen TV, you’ll probably have pondered whether you should wall mount it or put it on a traditional TV stand. Due to their sleek design, flat screen TVs give those who own them with the option of mounting them on the wall. Wall mounted TVs are usually affixed to a wall mount that has been bolted to the wall. Whilst there are a number of benefits to be had from fitting a flat screen TV to a wall mount, the more traditional TV stand should not be discounted. Some might argue that a wall mount takes up a lot less space than a TV stand, and it’s hard to disagree with such a statement. So whilst you might have your wall mounted TV in a good position at the moment – one in which it’s very visible – if you come to move your living room around you may find that your view of it worsens significantly. Although a TV stand might be considered by some to be a little bulky, at least it can be moved around a room without too much trouble. Having a TV stand will provide you with more freedom when you want to reorganise your living room. With TVs continually getting bigger and bigger, you may that it isn’t possible to wall mount your own flat screen TV. At least with a TV stand you’ll always have something to put it on. As previously mentioned, in the past people made the accusation that the TV stand has always been a piece of furniture that is far too bulky and very ugly. However, in the modern era – one in which refinement is considered massively important – you could easily go to your local furniture store and buy TV stands that are bold, futuristic and sleek in there design. Many different types of TV stand can be seen in the home of people across the world – ranging from those traditional option crafted from wood to those more exciting stands manufactured from chrome. Whereas wall mounts can break – causing the TV to fall and smash when it hits the floor – TV stands are much stronger. Ultimately, you need to do a significant amount of research before you decide to make choose between a wall mount of a TV stand.
